What's in a name?

The Tortoises took exception to their name and are now the ‘Hornets’ (– watch out Hares – you might get stung! )

(I thought the Hornets were a second rate football team from Watford but there you go ….)

Unless I hear otherwise, the Rhinos remain proud of their association with one of the fastest large mammals on earth (also quite nasty when wound up!)

Have you booked your Eurostar return yet?

You may wish to get onto this. I booked on-line easily enough but then had to phone them on one of those silly 08 numbers for the priviledge of spending an extra £20 to book in my bike. The guy I spoke with suggested that I should have checled on the website for space for my bike before booking, but I couldn't see where to do this.

This suggests that there's limited space on Eurostar for our bikes. Get your space booked now!

New London to Dover route proposed

We've had another little look at the route from London to Dover. This is perhaps the most difficult and longest day of the expendition. We've been trying to keep the route as short as possible whilst avoiding most of the big roads. Here's what we've come up with.....134km (that's 86 miles in old money) rising to no more that 140m.
